Nutanix Cluster on Equinix Metal
Deploy a Nutanix Cluster on Equinix Metal using Terraform
On this page
What is it?
Having flexibility to host virtualized infrastructure in proximity to critical users and clouds is becoming a default requirement for both traditional and cloud-native workloads. Equinix Metal works with Nutanix to certify Nutanix AOS on select hardware plans. The terraform-equinix-metal-nutanix-cluster Terraform module will rapidly deploy a Nutanix Cluster made of Nutanix certified instances on Equinix Metal.
Built with proof of concept deployments in mind, this is the quickest way to spin up a Nutanix Cluster to demonstrate the potential value of Nutanix solutions on Equinix Metal.
Why do we love it?
- Creates a Nutanix cluster through automation
- Utilizes Equinix Metal compute and networking digital infrastructure
- Configures networking requirements on each node
- Configures a jump host to simplify network setup and access to the cluster
- Leverages Terraform and Terraform Module best-practices for a reusable and configurable base
- Demonstrate the benefits of Nutanix Cluster on Metal, faster!
How do you use it?
All you need to get started is an Equinix Metal account.
You can also follow our Nutanix on Equinix Metal workshop to learn how to access your Nutanix cluster and create VMs and Kubernetes clusters that run on Nutanix in Equinix Metal.
See the full terraform-equinix-metal-nutanix-cluster module documentation in the "Nutanix Installation in a Nutshell" section of the project README to see the requirements and options. You will also find examples there that offer hands-on experience using Nutanix Cluster on Equinix Metal in VM migration with Nutanix Cluster Protection Policy and Active Directory authentication.
Let us know about your experience with this project on the Equinix Community or Equinix Metal Community Slack.
